Summer Camp 2009

During the two weeks of Summer Camp children will be working in separate age groups. Our everyday tasks will cover activities with elements of Language Arts and Math to Science and Social Studies with the inclusion of arts and crafts and a healthy load of physical exercises, team sports and games. All of the classes will be focusing on the following themes:
Week 1: Children from around the world.
Day 1:
Facts and numbers (geography, maps, flora, fauna, people) of countries such as: Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, India, China.
Day 2:
Culture and customs (most important dates, national outfits, songs and dances).
Day 3:
Food and festivals (traditional cuisine and national holidays).
Day 4:
Classroom presentations / Trip.
Day 5:
Trip / Classroom presentations.
Week 2: Under the sea.
Day 1:
Oceans, seas, biggest lakes and their flora and fauna.
Day 2:
Water sports – techniques, equipment, know-how.
Day 3:
Pirates and hidden treasures.
Day 4:
My aquarium / My scuba diving outfit.
Field trip.
Day 5:
My aquarium / My scuba diving outfit.
Field trip.
