New music teacher
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Hello, my name is Mr. Robert Ward and I am happy to be the new music teacher at The Canadian School of Warsaw. I arrived in Warsaw a few weeks ago from New York City, U.S.A. with nine years of experience as a teacher. I hold a university degree in Classical Music Theory/Composition, and I am also certified to teach English.
During the last few months of the school year, the students and I will continue to work on the material that was specified in the curriculum from the beginning of the year. We will also work on new material including seasonal songs, holiday songs, and songs that are just plain fun to sing!
In my first few days of classes, I brought my guitar and started singing songs with the students. It was encouraging to see how fast they learned the lyrics and how enthused they were to sing along. I look forward to helping the students finish this year’s music curriculum on a high note!
