Good Deeds Day
Dear Parents,
I’d like to inform you about the GOOD DEEDS DAY that we are organizing at our school on the 19th May 2008. This project was born in cooperation with ARKA Foundation from Bielsko-Biała. As a result of this cooperation we have designed and planned the following actions:
- Kindness Day (celebrated both at home and school).
- Sending postcards to very ill Mateusz from “I’ve got a dream” foundation; the boy’s dream is to receive as many postcards as possible, from children from all over the world.
- Working together with father Maciek to gather and hand over food supplies to our regional CARITAS office.
- Putting on a show, prepared by Grades 1 and 2, for the terminally ill children at the Rheumatological Hospital on Spartańska Street (five-minute walk from school). Our children also thought of giving some presents (toys and games they no longer use themselves and want to give away) to the ill children.
In order to make all of this happen our children will need some help of their Parents. Therefore, I’d like to kindly ask you to purchase one of the following everyday products: rice, sugar, pasta, can food, tea etc. The food supplies collection will take place at the school entrance May 13th-16th. I’d also be grateful if you could, together with your children, decide whether you possibly have any games or toys that you can donate to the ill children.
