Green School 2010
‘BEAVER VALLEY’ CONFERENCE AND HOLIDAY CENTRE
Dear Parents,
I would like to share with you information concerning this year’s Green School.
Children are going to ‘Beaver Valley’ near Białystok: Grade 2 and 3 on May 18th-20th, 2010 and Grade 4, 5 and 6 on May 24th-28th, 2010. They are going to spend 3 or 5 days, respectively, in a beautiful green and spacious (ca. 7 ha) Holiday Centre. There are no animals in the Centre (important news, bearing in mind children’s allergy problems last year). It will take ca. 3 hours to get there. Children will live in 3- and 4-people bedrooms with bathrooms.
The Centre is offering soccer fields, tennis courts, dry sauna, a soccer table, a ping-pong table and a billiard table – all at our disposal.

Agenda – Grade 2 and 3, May 18th-20th, 2010
Day 1
9.00 – departure from Warsaw,
12.00 – arrival at ‘Beaver Valley’,
12.30 – moving in,
13.30 – lunch,
14.30-17.00 – outside fun and games (with a ‘Beaver Valley’ animator),
17.15 – afternoon snack,
17.30-18.00 – free time,
18.00 – ‘bonfire’ – learning how to build and start a bonfire the ancestors’ way, sausage roasting, bonfire dancing and singing,
21.00 – sleep.
Day 2
8.30 – wake-up, wash-up,
9.00 – breakfast,
10.00 – horse cart trip around Knyszyn Forrest (Puszcza Knyszyńska) in search of beavers,
13.00 – lunch,
14.00-16.00 – outside sports tournaments,
16.30 – afternoon snack,
17.00-19.00 – art activities (preparing costumes for a costume party),
19.00 – supper,
20.00 – costume party,
22.00 – sleep.
Day 3
9.00 – wake-up, wash-up,
9.30 – breakfast,
10.00 – hike around Knyszyn Forrest (exploring the secrets of nature, observing animals – guided tour),
12.00-13.00 – packing and leaving the hotel rooms,
13.00 – lunch,
15.00 – departure.

10.00 – field trip to Białystok and to Podlasie Country Museum (Muzeum Wsi Podlaskiej),
12.30 – lunch (sandwiches),
13.00 – trip to Jurassic Dinosaur Park,
15.00 – return to ‘Beaver Valley’,
15.15 – lunch,
16.15 – free time,
18.00 – preparing a bonfire, karaoke fun,
22.00 – sleep.
Day 4
9.00 – wake-up, wash-up,
9.30 – breakfast,
10.00 – lecture on how to participate in traffic safely,
11.00 – bicycle trip – departure of group 1 (20 people),
12.30 – return of group 1 and departure of group 2,
14.00 – return of group 1 and lunch,
15.00-16.00 – free time,
16.00 – outside fun and games (bag pants soccer match),
17.00 – afternoon snack,
17.15 – outside fun and games (sports tournament with an animator),
19.00 – supper,
20.00 – music activities,
22.00 – sleep.
Day 5
9.00 – wake-up, wash-up,
9.30 – breakfast,
