The Canadian School of Warsaw

Child needs to be 6 years old by the end of December of 2010.
If the child was a student of the Canadian Preschool, the main teacher’s evaluation with the language report along with the School Readiness Scale (Skala Gotowości Szkolnej) diagnosis are needed. In individual cases parents may be asked to provide an opinion from a children’s counsellor (poradnia psychologiczno-pedagogiczna).
If the child was not a student of the Canadian Preschool, at least one-year preschool attendance along with the school readiness diagnosis from children’s counsellor (poradnia psychologiczno-pedagogiczna) are needed. Additionally, the child needs to pass an English exam conducted by the Canadian School of Warsaw. Furthermore, parents will be invited for an interview with the school principal.
Since six-year-old children are not obliged to attend school until 2012/2013 according to Polish education law, parents need to submit an application form regarding child’s placement in the 1st grade – application forms are available in the secretary’s office in the Canadian School of Warsaw at 7 Bełska St.
