Dear Parents,
I am pleased to welcome you and your child at the Canadian School of Warsaw. My name is Katarzyna Mossakowska and I will be Smilies Main Teacher this year. Please allow me to introduce myself. I graduated from the Maria Grzegorzewska Academy of Special Education in Warsaw in 2008 and I have a Masters degree in Glottodidactics and Early Education with English. As a student I had an opportunity to work at a preschool in London, which considerably enriched my knowledge. Since I stand for the idea of lifelong education, last year I started post-graduate studies at Politics and Administration of Education at the University of Warsaw. I thoroughly enjoyed past two years at the Canadian School of Warsaw and I am looking forward to the third one!
In respect of my priorities for the following year, I will make every effort to create an environment in which all our pupils will feel safe, comfortable and special. I do believe that we will have a wonderful time playing, learning, developing friendships and growing together. As for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) that we are implementing, we will encourage children to become inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world.
Last but not least, I would like us to cooperate as partners throughout the school year so I will highly appreciate any suggestions that will make the adjustment period more comfortable for your child. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am available to talk to you on a daily basis.
