Dear Parents,

My name is Katarzyna Boruta and I will teach music at the Canadian School of Warsaw in the school year 2007/2008.
I graduated from the Academy of Music of F. Chopin in Warsaw in 2002. Since then I have worked at the Private School in Konstancin-Jeziorna (teaching kindergarten, elementary school and high school students). Since 2006 I have worked at The International Paddington Bear Preschool (7 Górska St.) and The Little International Bilinguists of “Baśniowy Dom” Preschool (12 Balonowa St.)
I have an ability to develop a positive relationship with children. I love to work with them and support learning and development. Their world is sensitive, they have great imagination, creativity and original thought. Learning through music has a positive influence on all aspects of a child’s development. In my opinion, music lies at the heart of artistic disciplines. It allows innovation, interpretation, research and takes us to beautiful places. We gain a non-verbal expression and aesthetic appreciation through music. I am really happy that I teach music, as it gives me an opportunity of working with people’s emotions. Sometimes we hide our emotions, but through the music we can say and show what we yearn in a very special way. Listening to and performing music is a great social activity and helps connect people in a community.
I am ready to teach and help children become sensitive and responsible people. I teach singing and playing instruments, including piano, flute and guitar. Music is my passion and I love to share it with children and adults.
Music is a part of everyday life. I would like to teach our children how to find a pleasure in performing, creating and composing. We will play instruments, sing and dance. We will learn how to listen and appreciate all voices of nature, and all voices of our hearts.

Yours sincerely,

Katarzyna Boruta
