Dear Parents,
My name is Joanna Rechnio and this is my second year at the Canadian School of Warsaw as well as the fifth year of teaching preschool children. Since most of you already know me, I will take the opportunity to introduce myself briefly to the new parents.
After graduating from the Warsaw University and completing the teacher's training course, I moved to the United Kingdom where I worked for 3 years in English Primary and Nursery Schools. During my stay in London I managed to take advantage of every possibility to enrich my qualifications by attending courses such as First Aid, Food safety in Education, Implementing the New Early Years Foundation Stage Principles and obtaining the Qualified Teacher Status. As I like to be constantly challenged and motivated, this year I will start post-graduate studies as well.
I strongly believe that the coming year is going to be fantastic. Our 4-year-olds are mostly acquainted with the preschool rules, which allows them to enjoy the company of peers and teachers, develop the curiosity and experience consciously the learning process while having fun.
Secondly, the children will enjoy exploring the new, beautiful building designed specially for them.
Finally, this is going to be the first year of practically implementing the IBO philosophy into teaching. Therefore, the programme of study will be creative, innovative, tailored to the children's needs, created to reveal the children's full potential.
I am really excited to meet my last year’s pupils as well as the newcomers after the holidays.
