Dear Parents and Guardians,
I would like to welcome both you, the parents, and your child to fourth grade at the Canadian School of Warsaw. We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us.
Some of you do not know me, therefore I am pleased to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Ewelina Mańka and I will be your child’s Main Teacher. This will be my third year at the Canadian School. In 2004, I graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and English. During my studies I spent some months in the Netherlands, where I had the chance to study pedagogy and visit various schools using alternative teaching methods. Later I spent the best part of two years in the United Kingdom, while simultaneously continuing my studies in Poland. I graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University with a master of Arts in Kindergarten and Preliminary Education in June 2007. Before I moved in to Warsaw I taught English at a public primary school (grades 2, 3 and 4) and additionally worked with 3-5 year olds at a private Montessori Kindergarten.
I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe experience in the classroom. However, I cannot do this alone: I need your help. We both need to be partners in the learning process. Please, feel free to contact me about any concerns or questions you may have. My classroom is always open.
Once again, welcome! I look forward to another productive, creative, and enjoyable year together!
Yours truly,
Ewelina Mańka
