Dear Parents,
My name is Brigette Henk Gulatowska, and as my name might suggest I am an American married (very recently) to a Pole. I have moved quite a bit in recent years, but I am very pleased to make my home at the Canadian School of Warsaw.
I completed my MA coursework in European Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Quite a change from historic Kraków, I spent summer of 2008 as the head first grade teacher/pre-school ESL teacher at an international school in the Philippines. In California, where I’m originally from, I taught third grade in a bilingual school. Last, but not least, after graduating the University of California, Irvine I enjoyed my first year as a teacher in a primary school in northern France.
After a year as a student, I can’t wait to have my own students again. I look forward to the new challenges of kindergarten, particularly vocabulary development, reading preparedness and my favorite time of day, STORYTIME.
