Dear parents and students,

It is with great pleasure that I start my second year with you at the Canadian School. I am also very happy to welcome the new students who will be joining our group for the sixth grade.

For those who don’t know me, I am from Montreal, Canada, and I have been living in Warsaw for a year and a half. I graduated from the University of Montreal in 2007 at the departments of Humanities and Linguistic Anthropology. In 2003, I obtained a Social Studies and a Music degree from Marie-Victorin College, also in Montreal. Finally, I completed a certification in teaching English as a second language at Oxford Seminars Canada in 2008. I am a native speaker of French and English and I have a great passion for learning and teaching languages.
The sixth grade will surely bring new and interesting challenges for everyone and I hope that the new discoveries that we will make will nurture the students’ appetite for learning. My main goal for this year is to collaborate with the students and make sure they understand that they play a central role in their own education. My classroom door is also open to parents and family members who wish to share their experience with the kids. Good communication is very important for me, so both parents and students shouldn’t hesitate to send me e-mails or schedule meetings with me if they wish to discuss something.

Wishing you a great school year!

Best regards,
Annie Levasseur
